There's restoration mods for both KotOR1 and TSL in the vein of K1R (KotOR1 Restoration) and TSLRCM (this might be a bit of bias on my part being the leader of K1R and all but I highly recommend both mods as essential). TSLRCM is an amazing mod for Kotor 2 and playing Kotor 2 vanilla, it just feels unfinished compared to TSLRCM. TSLRCM restores a lot of cut content that the developers never got to finish and introduces many bugfixes to the game. The Sith Lords Restored Content is 110% a must download, and KOTOR 2 should never EVER be played without this mod. I'd recommend the standard version without M4-78 since that planet was made entirely by the modders and is complete trash. Invisible Headgears is also a big recommend since a lot of headgears in both KOTOR games look really stupid.
